Organizational Objectives
- Promote professionalism and integrity in the criminal
justice field
- Recognize outstanding contributions by Colorado probation
and affiliated Professionals
- Represent the interests of its members on statewide policy
& planning committees
- Promote, sponsor, and coordinate training for officers,
support staff, and affiliates
- Develop working partnerships with agencies sharing common
interests with probation
- Advocate for job quality, safety, and job satisfaction
of probation staff
- Participate in the development and definition of the
mission of Colorado probation
- Provide leadership opportunities for its members.
- Provide input and leadership at the national level through
our affiliation with the American Probation and Parole Association.
- Communicate the activities and efforts of other Colorado
Probation Organizations.
You are invited and encouraged to join the Colorado Association
of Probation Offices (CAPO). By doing so, you further the network of professionals
involved in the efforts to enhance the effectiveness of Colorado probation,
while strengthening your professional organization to better represent the
interests and needs of those involved in the day-to-day delivery of probation
services in Colorado.
